A Happy Birthday "Gorgeous Girl" Easel Card!

Hi Everyone! I couldn't resist, I had to share a second Gorjuss Girl Easel Card with you! There's just something about playing with paper dolls no matter how old we get, isn't there? I'm definitely not an expert with my Copic Markers but I sure do enjoy playing with them. These little cards are a perfect way to use up those 6x6 paper pads we all have sitting around and the prints are just the right size for paper piecing and layering. I hope you'll give it a try!

I'm always so thankful for each of you! As always, I'd love to hear from you!

A "Gorjuss Girl" Easel Card!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! This year was very special for me, I was able to enjoy time with my mom, even though she's in the late stages of Alzheimers. I truly believe this was a holiday she will always remember. I took a few moments to print some pictures to remind her of our time together. A little ziplock bag with a few pictures meant the world to her.

If you're like me you're probably thinking about creating a holiday project! It's such a fun time of year to create! I'm hoping to start on something this week. In the meantime I thought I'd take a few minutes to share a project I made a few months ago. Aren't Gorjuss Girl stamps just adorable? I never get tired of creating cards with them!
I'd love to hear from you, if you have a question or would like to comment, please do! Thanks so much for stopping by!

My Sweet Jessie

Sometimes life can be very sad, shaking us to the very core. My heart is so heavy, as I am helpless to heal your pain. As your mom I would give anything to take this burden from you. As the hours and days pass the pain will ease and the beautiful memories you shared will again bring a smile. I can say without a doubt that God sent an angel when he brought you to her. You loved her as a mother would her own child. With you by her side for 3 short years, she no longer needed to feel disabled, unloved, and alone. You gave her the ability to be an artist, a singer, a dancer, a swimmer, an animal lover, a princess, a girly girl and so much more. With you she was a daughter, beautiful and loved in every way. I know in my heart she was looking down on you as you tried so hard to breathe life back into her. She loved you so much and will always be in your heart, watching over you and smiling down on you as she dances to Cyndi Lauper! I am so proud of you, my daughter and will always be right here for you. I love you so much and am so thankful for you and all that you did for her.

Prima Inspired Christmas Canvas!

Hi Everyone! I can't imagine where the time has gone. We had a nice Christmas, enjoying 10 days with our daughter from San Francisco! My favorite memories are when all four of our girls are under one roof! Our time together is never long enough but is the absolute best part of the holidays!

After getting our tree up and decorated, I decided to make a Christmas canvas.  My canvas was inspired by my girl...Prima Educator, Adrienne Ford! She taught a Ustream class on 10-30-14. Her floral canvas was breathtaking!

My canvas is loaded with Prima products. I used a ton of Finnabair's Art Basics, Prima's Bloom Color Sprays, Silk Paints, Golden Paints, Prima Flowers, Wild Orchid Craft Flowers and Prima Metals.

Hope you'll check out Adrienne's video and try some of her techniques! http://www.ustream.tv/channel/primaflower

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday! Have a very Happy, Healthy and Safe New Year!

As always, thanks so much for stopping by!

Class With The Amazing Finnabair!

Hi Friends! A couple of weeks ago, thanks to Karen Mattison,  I had the privilege of taking a class taught by the amazing artist, designer and educator, Ania Dabrowska (Finnabair)! She is truly amazing, so talented and fun to be around, not to mention a fabulous teacher! The class was held at our local scrapbook store, Pages In Time/ Purses and More, in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Only having dabbed a tiny bit in mixed media, I'm now truly loving it and can't wait to get started on my next Finnabair inspired project!

I wanted to share my journal cover, made with lots of Finnabair Mechanicals and LuminArte Silk Acrylic Glazes
Hope you all have a fabulous week!
As always, thanks so much for stopping by!

A "Gorjuss Girl" Get Well Card!

Hello Friends! Hope everyone is having a good summer. Hubby and I were just getting used to the whole empty nesters way of life, when daughter #3 injured her back. I spent 2 wks in the hospital with her following surgery, which was on Mothers Day. She too has Lupus...Needless to say Lupus always makes everything far more complicated than you're ever prepared for. Thankfully, she is doing much better and looking forward to going back to work in a couple of weeks. Clearly, moving home wasn't part of her summer plan, but I think we can agree,  we're all very thankful to have one another!

Thought I would share a cute little Get Well Card made with my very favorite stamps. Like many of you, I am a Gorjuss Girl fan! This stamp is the "Pretend Friend" Gorjuss Girl.

The image was colored with Copic Markers. I used a Martha Stewart Border Punch, Sizzix Ornate Frame, Prima Flowers and My Minds Eye Paper.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Would love it if you'd leave a comment.
See you next time!
